Performance

Media Selection
For quality control tesing of leukocyte reduced platelets with
BacT/ALERT, it is strongly recommended to use both BPA and
BPN bottles. BPA presents an enriched formula optimized for
growth of aerobic microorganisms. BPN presents an enriched
formula optimized for growth of anaerobic microorganisms.

Easy Identification: Color-coded labels and peel-off
bar codes simplify identification and data processing to reduce
errors and facilitate random loading and reloading.
Data Integrity: Since BacT/ALERT readings are not tied
to the original location of the bottle, there are no limitations
for returning bottles to the instrument. Upon reload, the operator
loads the bottle in any available cell and the readings continue
from where they left off. This ensures that data integrity is
maintained during usual (and unusual) laboratory protocols.
