VIDAS^® ECO Method AOAC RI Approval

bioMérieux^® INDUSTRY is pleased to announce the AOAC Research Institute approval for the new VIDAS ECO Solution. This recent Performance Tested ^SM Method approval was granted for the new 8-hour and 24-hour enrichment using the VIDAS E. coli O157 assay followed by the bioMérieux O157:H7 chromogenic media. The ECO Solution method certificate number is 010502.

The achievement of this method approval now completes the AOAC approved VIDAS offer for the primary food pathogens, Listeria, Salmonella, and E. coli O157:H7.

Currently underway is the AOAC RI Independent Laboratory study for the VIDAS Listeria Xpress Assay. Once complete, the VIDAS platform will offer AOAC-approved Next Day Solutions for the primary pathogens, providing food laboratories with rapid, high-performing and cost-effective solutions for optimized laboratory workflow and efficiency.
