VIDAS® SLM-RV AOAC Approval

bioMérieux® INDUSTRY is pleased to announce
the AOAC Official Methods Approval (OMA) for the VIDAS Salmonella
assay, SLM using the Tetrathionate and Rappaport Vassiliadis
broths for All Foods. The method was approved as a new method,
number 2004.03.
The current AOAC OMA approval for All Foods for the VIDAS SLM
method, 996.08 using Tetrathionate and Selenite Cysteine broths
has not been changed and will remain in the AOAC OMA.
The VIDAS pathogen detection systems provide a Next Day solution
for Salmonella testing using VIDAS ICS or a 48 hour solution
using VIDAS SLM, with both assays AOAC OMA approved for All Foods.
