bioMérieux is pleased to announce the introduction of O157:H7 ID Agar, a new chromogenic medium for the detection of Escherichia coli O157:H7. In accordance with USDA, BAM and ISO 16654 standards, O157:H7 ID Agar allows the detection and presumptive identification of E. coli O157:H7. O157:H7 ID Agar may also be used to confirm samples that are screened positive with the VIDAS® ECO and/or VIDAS ICE according to the procedure described in the corresponding reagent package inserts.
