Instant Internet Access to api®,
ID32 and Rapid ID32 Results
St.Louis, MO - May 4, 2004. The api® product
family, which revolutionized identification of bacteria by miniaturizing
and standardizing conventional biochemicals, now has Internet
support. The new apiweb service from bioMérieux INDUSTRY
offers instant access to interpretation of api, ID32 and Rapid
ID32 strip results directly on an Internet server. The software
allows fast, simple and user-friendly microorganism identification.
The first identification software available on the Internet,
apiweb is within the capabilities of every laboratory using api
products. It is available at all times without technical constraints
that might be associated with the rapid evolution of data processing
platforms. Software functionalities include strip selection,
profile data input, result display, result printing and result
export. For laboratories without Internet access, the software
is available on CD-ROM.
A few of apiweb's features and benefits include:
- No need for profile indices for an environmentally friendly
reduction in paper use
- Ease of use – either profile number or reaction pattern
can be entered
- Immediate and free implementation of database updates
- Visual guide to interpretation of positive and negative
results
