INDUSTRY’s FIX SYSTEM™
Contact Plates Obtain Patent
HAZELWOOD, MO — bioMérieux INDUSTRY has announced
issuance of U.S. Patent No. 6,602,704 for the company’s
FIX SYSTEM™ contact plates for use in environmental monitoring.
The plates feature a specific design that prevents contamination
caused by accidental opening while maintaining proper airflow
for bacterial growth.
FIX SYSTEM contact plates offer safety, stability and ease of
use. The lid design provides additional security during the sampling
process by preventing accidental opening to reduce operator-related
contamination. Because the lid remains on during normal use,
FIX SYSTEM plates add stability to testing and monitoring procedures.
They also improve storage stability and make transport easier.
Although they are secure, the plates are easy to open and require
no change in methodology.
